Sun Chemical and Cyngient have formed a partnership to develop and supply inks, coatings and adhesives for narrow-web tag and label converters. The alliance combines the companies’ product portfolios and technical capabilities, with the stated aim of improving customer service and supporting faster product delivery.
Under the agreement, the companies will introduce a jointly branded Sun Chemical/Cyngient speciality product line. The range will include coatings and adhesives intended to support print quality, embellishment effects and consistent performance on press. Neither the launch date nor the geographic scope of the product range was specified in the information released.
The collaboration targets converters operating in the narrow-web, tag and label market. Embellishment technologies will form a central part of the companies’ work, while customers will have access to products covering colour, coatings and adhesives, alongside technical support and service.
“This partnership will elevate our offerings to the narrow web industry by combining the technology of Sun Chemical with the innovative products in inks, coatings, and adhesives offered by Cyngient,” said Andrew Wasserman, managing partner of Cyngient. “Together, we are positioned to deliver greater creativity, consistency, and speed to market.”
Dennis Sweet, vice-president, NWTL, Commercial, Sun Chemical, said the agreement would extend the company’s narrow-web offering. “We are pleased to add Cyngient as a trusted supplier and partner to Sun Chemical’s offerings,” he said. “This partnership will add several specialty products to Sun Chemical’s broad portfolio in the narrow web tag and label segment.”
Wasserman added that the platform would provide converters with products spanning colour and coating, supported by technical assistance and fast-turn service. The companies said the partnership is intended to broaden production and embellishment options for label and packaging converters.
